The RAW version of this digital image was used as the base  image for cropping and Converting with Photoshop CS2 from RAW to JPEG or RAW to TIFF.

Tips To up-size and sharpen an image in CS2:

Start with a copy of the original file (work with the work file, not the original...)

• Sizing settings -  select the  image sizing box
  - turn off 'resample image' then change resolution (i.e. 180 DPI can  be used to create reasonalbly good prints)
  - use 'bicubic smoother' when enlarging
  
  - sharpening (more needed for printing than electronic viewing)
  - set your screen view to 100% (CTRL+ALT+0)
  - From the Menu bar select:   Filter-> sharpen->unsharp mask
      - Amnt - how much contrast to add
      - Radius- how wide in pixle the change will be
      - Threshold - how much distance between pixels that are changed

• Sharpening Settings:

  •     Amount:   usually between 200-300
        Radius:  1-4
        Threshold:  adjust if there is a contrast problem

  GPS, Geocode, Lat/Lon:  53.87,-166.52

Suggestions and Tips for viewing images on this site:

1. if you are using one of the latest Web Browsers AND if you have a mouse with a scroll button you can 'zoom' into or out of a page (including this one) by holding down the control key (CTRL) and scrolling with the mouse button.  The text, images, photographs or pictures will also increase or decrease in size as you 'control scroll'.

2. with most Web Browsers you can change to Full Screen viewing by selection View--> Full Screen from the menu bar - some browsers will do this when you press the F11 function key.  To return to normal viewing press the F11 function key a second time.

3. for Flash pages use your mouse and 'right click' anywhere on the page - you should get a menu that allows you to 'zoom in', 'zoom out'  or 'view all'; press the F5 function key to restore the page to a normal view.
